There are distinct similarities between architectural design and instructional design, i.e. creativity, purpose, practicality, and intentionality. Anyone can develop a briefing; however, it takes expertise to design and develop a real learning product or environment. The intention of this blog is to create a place for collaborating about techniques and concepts to help in building effective instruction.

Hi! I'm Kristy and I wanted to let you know that I am following your blog. What I love most about ID is how young the field is. I really feel like those of us that are entering the field now are going to have a hand in shaping the field. It's exciting to think how technology will shape future learning.
